Trevor Jackson
Season 2 · Episode 8
The London-based art director, musician and record producer Trevor Jackson is one of the most influential British graphic designers having worked for international brands such as Lexus, Coca-Cola, Fred Perry as well as for both established and emerging musical acts. The record sleeves he did for bands such as The Stereo MC’s, The Rapture, Soulwax and Playgroup became iconic. To maintain full control and integrity of his vision he became the manager, graphic designer and A&R of his own music label, „Output Records“ — a label that launched the careers of artists such as LCD Soundsystem and Four Tet. With Playgroup, Trevor Jackson started a pop career of his own. On STRRR TV he talks about his influences, ranging from Walt Disney’s “Fantasia” to New Order’s “Confusion”.
